Job Profile Summary The Installer is responsible for the installation of foodservice equipment in accordance with the project specifications in a safe and timely manner. Responsible for complete delivery, uncrating, and setting in place of foodservice equipment. Collaborate with plumbers/electricians and all mechanical trades to resolve all issues and stay within the timeframe and install bid. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Install equipment using hand or power tools Examine and test equipment for defects to ensure proper functioning. Follow all safety guidelines, maintaining a clean work area and machines/tools organized. Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Description
$25+/hour Depending on experience
Mon-Fri 5:00am - finish, usually 50-60 hours. MUST be willing to travel up to 2 weeks (Max 1 week travel at a time, no weekends) per month
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Installation Manager this position is responsible for the installation of foodservice equipment in accordance with the project specifications in a safe and timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Responsible for complete delivery, uncrating, and setting in place of foodservice equipment in accordance with foodservice drawings and local codes.
- Install foodservice equipment using proper power/hand tools for the job at task.
- Collaborate with plumbers/electricians and all mechanical trades to resolve all issues and stay within the timeframe and install bid.
- Examine and test equipment for defects to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow all safety guidelines, maintaining a clean work area and machines/tools organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience or schooling on general construction and the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and understand specifications and blueprints.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel & Word).
- Strong analytical, organizational skills.
- Ability to problem solve, multitask, prioritize and work independently.
- Excellent communication, time management and customer service skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
- Must be able to travel for overnight stays. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Preferred:
- Successful completion of an accredited Technical/Trade School and forklift certification.
