JOB SUMMARY
The Line Lead is responsible for supporting the Team Lead by providing hands-on leadership and operational support to packing associates. This role ensures that designated lines run efficiently and safely while maintaining cleanliness and organization. The Line Lead is expected to proactively identify problems and suggest performance improvements to the Team Leader.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Team Lead in managing daily activities on assigned lines
Ensure line is clean, organized, and operating safely
Provide guidance and direction to packing associates during shifts
Monitor line performance and suggest improvements
Communicate any issues or concerns to the Team Lead
Assist in training and onboarding new associates
Ensure packing procedures are followed for quality and efficiency
Support shift changeovers and completion of daily tasks
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent; Some college coursework or leadership training
Experience
1-2 years of experience in a production or packing environment
Experience in a leadership or team support role in a food production setting
Basic food safety or OSHA certification preferred
Skills
Strong teamwork and leadership abilities
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures
Capable of multitasking in a fast paced environment
English required; bilingual preferred

Cold production floor, exposure to machinery, produce
Decision Making Authority
Delegation of basic tasks to packing associates
Reporting issues to Team Lead
Monitoring and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards
Changes to line operations or staff assignments
Escalation of disciplinary or quality concerns
Implementation of any procedural changes
