Job Profile Summary To ensure consistent and accurate management of inventory through auditing, ordering, and implementing price changes. The role focuses on maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing discrepancies, and maximizing profitability.
Description
Purpose:
To ensure consistent and accurate management of inventory through auditing, ordering, and implementing price changes. The role focuses on maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing discrepancies, and maximizing profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Audits:
Conduct daily cycle counts and full store category audits every 6 months.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory counts.
Document count results and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
Discrepancy Resolution:
Investigate variances by reviewing sales data, receiving logs, and transfer records.
Adjust inventory counts and document all changes for audit purposes.
Merchandise Ordering:
Monitor stock levels daily and place orders for items falling below par levels – use D365 recommended orders to start and coordinate with GSC Forecasting and Retail Merch teams as needed.
Handle new product introductions and special orders for customers.
Track and reconcile purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery. Coordinate with SBS to ensure invoices against purchase orders are also uploaded to Workday timely.
Price Changes:
Implement price updates and promotional pricing as directed by management.
Conduct price checks against competitors and recommend adjustments.
Manage clearance pricing and markdowns for slow-moving inventory.
Reporting & Analysis:
Generate and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
Provide regular updates to management on inventory status and trends.
Customer Service:
Assist customers on the sales floor, providing product information and handling complaints.
Support cashiers during peak times and assist with price checks.
Additional Responsibilities:
Assist in training new team members and providing cross-department support.
Monitor for theft or security issues and report suspicious activity.
Maintain cleanliness and safety of the sales floor.
Suggest improvements to inventory processes and participation in team meetings and special projects.
