Description

Purpose:
To efficiently manage the stocking, organization, and presentation of products on the sales floor, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for customers while maintaining product availability and store appearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Opening Procedures:

    • Arrive on time for shift and participate in pre-shift meetings.

    • Review daily tasks and priorities with the supervisor.

    • Ensure assigned areas are clean and ready for customers.

    • Replace damaged or missing shelf labels.

    • Confirm signage is accurate and up-to-date.

  • Stocking:

    • Replenish merchandise from the backroom to the sales floor.

    • Follow planograms to place products correctly.

    • Use FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method to rotate stock.

    • Report low inventory levels to the supervisor.

  • Zoning:

    • Keep merchandise neat and organized in designated areas.

    • Face products for a uniform appearance.

    • Remove damaged or misplaced items.

    • Ensure all price tags and labels are visible and correctly positioned.

  • Sign Maintenance:

    • Check for and replace outdated, damaged, or missing signs.

    • Ensure all promotional materials are current and displayed correctly.

    • Remove expired promotional signage.

  • Area Maintenance:

    • Keep assigned areas clean and free of debris.

    • Report any safety or maintenance issues.

    • Assist in cleaning common areas, including aisles, PODs, and endcaps.

  • Closing Procedures:

    • Conduct final zone checks 30 minutes before closing.

    • Ensure all merchandise is organized and secured.

    • Remove misplaced items and return them to their proper locations.

    • Assist in cleaning and straightening assigned areas.

  • Customer Service:

    • Greet customers in your area and assist with product locations.

    • Answer basic customer inquiries and direct them to the appropriate staff for complex issues.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay updated on product knowledge, promotions, and membership benefits.

    • Actively seek feedback for personal improvement.

    • Participate in additional training as required.

Additional Duties:

  • Assist with regular inventory counts.

  • Support store merchandising, including setting up displays and promotional areas.

  • Participate in curbside pickup and store marketing initiatives.

  • Help train new team members.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors to ensure smooth store operations.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.
