Job Profile Summary The Intercompany Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and business development initiatives across their Buckhead | Newport serviced USBL Sysco operating sites within their region—an approx. 200M territory. Sysco generates 30% of all sales and 21% of all profit in local sales from this Meat category. This role will focus on onsite training, strategic coaching, and performance management of Business Development Managers (BDM) and Premium Protein Specialists (PPS) to increase sales and enhance execution at the region level. Additionally, this role will be responsible for drafting and executing sales growth strategies in alignment with local and regional leadership teams, ensuring that GSC business objectives are effectively implemented. The Intercompany Business Development Manager will also play a key role in shaping the annual profit plan by providing strategic insights and recommendations to help optimize revenue, margins, and overall market performance. This role will foster education, collaboration, and influential relationships with key stakeholders, including: • Regional Leadership Teams (Presidents, VP Sales, VP Merchandising, VP Operations) • BH | NP Regional Leadership Teams (President, Regional VP, Dir. Responsibilities:
Work with GSC, Market and regional level Leadership teams to drive profitable growth.
Drive profitable growth through leadership of Business Developers and dotted-line leadership Premium Protein Specialists. This role will be responsible for training, day-to-day coaching, and driving results across Sysco sites.
Engage in QBR (Top-to-Top meetings) with assigned Sysco markets, regions, and sites to ensure sales growth strategies are being executed effectively.
Draft and implement sales growth strategies by working with local and regional leadership teams to align with GSC corporate objectives.
Provide input into the annual profit plan, leveraging market insights and performance data to develop strategies that drive revenue growth and margin expansion.
Create and execute region-specific growth plans tailored to local market opportunities and challenges.
Develop and implement training engagement models for all stakeholders to enhance sales effectiveness and strategic execution.
Spend time in-market, developing Business Development Manager and PPS through hands-on coaching and support.
Represent BH | NP at approved trade venues through booth appearances, product sampling, product demonstrations, and customer engagement.
Complete all other assigned work as needed.
Education:
Required: HS Diploma
Preferred: BS or BA Degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture/Animal Science, or related studies
Experience:
Preferred: 2-5 years prior foodservice sales experience, specialty food and chain sales a plus;
Preferred: Specialty meat experience
Skills:
Valid drivers license
Advanced computer skills required
Customer centric and internet savvy
Bilingual Spanish preferred
Superior time-management and project management skills including ability to service multiple customers simultaneously
Knowledge or marketing principles, product lines, ordering procedures and credit terms
Familiarization with customer service activities
Interdepartmental communications, general finance concepts
Ability to manage end to end initiatives through challenging deadlines
Ability to sell, multi task and problem solve
Physical Demands / Work Environment:

With Travel requirements, Colleague’s work environment will be from remote offices and sites across their market as well as hotel and airport seating areas.
