Duties and Responsibilities:
Own the strategy, execution, and content development approach for USBL General Sales Meetings, Region Leader Meetings and District Huddles including clearly defined scope of impact, learning needs, and milestone dates to ensure a successful approach and flawless events. Oversee cross-functional team planning and the need for an aligned focus so that the events support overall growth and capability building for our field sales teams.
Develop a strategic approach to provide consistent guidelines to the field around product cuttings and training. Work closely with the merchandising, marketing, Specialty and Sales Enablement teams to coordinate timing relative to business priorities, market share opportunities, and seasonal activity. Provide direction on timing, facilitation, product selection and usage, frequency, and participation so that regions are consistently executing a product approach that compliments existing sales routines and emphasizes the most relevant regionally specific opportunities for market share growth. Play a key role in standing up a centralized content library across USBL for product training efforts.
Streamline the key learning opportunities, development and communication needs coming out of the core sales meetings and incorporate into a reinforcing District Huddle approach that can be executed simply by local sales leadership teams in the field. Orchestrate topics and content across cross-functional teams, heavily interacting with the Sales Enablement team, with a goal of setting our field leaders up for success in activating and reinforcing our aligned priorities.
Building on the momentum from the prioritized product and selling focus areas in the General Sales Meetings, lead the creation of national Sales Blitz activity plans to further reinforce opportunities for sales growth. Partner with Sales Enablement and Marketing teams to ensure alignment with themes, supporting tools and resources to provide sales teams and leaders with everything they need to achieve impactful growth in business from blitz activity.
Lead the execution and support of field-facing feedback channels, in support of gathering valuable insights to provide GSC teams learnings around existing efforts and perspective on opportunities. Leverage the Field Ideation Team to proactively capture targeted insight from sales volunteers on specific topics. Summarize insights from feedback received and partner with ATC & Sales Enablement to determine next steps.
Partner with GSC sales finance teams to plan and communicate expectations for field budgets to support the execution of GSMs, product training and the corresponding technology expenses. Provide annual guidance to the field on budgets.

Education Required:
High School Diploma/ GED
Education Preferred:
4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with Sysco
Experience Required:
7-10 years professional experience with demonstrated progressive levels of management experience (with at least 5 - 7 years in sales management or direct sales experience working with customers); or equivalent combination of education and related experience
Experience Preferred:
5+ years in Field Engagement role implementing new process and new technology.
5+ years of experience working on complex projects with a focus on end-to-end deployment of solutions.
Technical Skills and Abilities:
Deep understanding of the food service industry; intimate knowledge of the local sales job functions, company proprietary computer programs, policies, procedures, and Sysco’s business metrics.
Ability to lead, coach, mentor forward a team with diverse knowledge, skills, and abilities to achieve common goals and objectives.
Strong program management, strategic thinking, creative thinking, and problem-solving characteristics. Thinks and acts proactively and directs resources and stakeholders accordingly.
